Given that many software acquire images in a non-compliant manner, to improve the interreadability of the files, it would be effective for the WCS to be read when the file is opened, making sure that the image is opened correctly (for example correctly oriented North-East ).

Re: astrometric indicator on calibrated images
Thanks a lot, Fabio! From the site of Horizon JPL (http://ssd.jpl.nasa.gov/sbdb.cgi) will be found in the ephemeris of each solar system body. As regards the comets, one can extract two important parameters: - PsAng the position angles of the extended Sun->target radius vector ("PsAng") is an indica...

Re: astrometric indicator on calibrated images
it would be very useful to have this indicator and also the vector -V. To determine them, I usually use the ephemerides generated by JPL.

Ok verificato, nella cartella di download c'erano 900 file, forse in fase di copiatura nella cartella locale ne sono passati solo 300.
Tutto ok.
Grazie.

Re: AStroart 7 photometry & Astrometry question
Hi, I can't get the UCAC4 catalog read at AA7. In the folder where I entered the catalog there are two subfolders u4b and u4i but AA7 still does not find the catalog. In the configuration mask I put the correct path.

Alignment file *.sta
HI,
i have generated two file *.sta, one for image with the photometric filter V e one for B.
The selection stars isn't the same exactly.
What procedure can I use to "align" the two files, so as to have two lists with the same stars and then calculate the B-V?
Thanks
Adriano
