Re: How to connect several different switch boxes at the same time?

Hello Fabio, Appreciate your quick Reply. Thanks for picking this up in a future release. I'll be happy to do the beta testing once available. And yes, I could spare the third switchbox by using an outlet on the Dragonfly, as an example, or use a second AstroArt instance. Not sure yet which way I'll...

How to connect several different switch boxes at the same time?

I am working on the automation of my backyard observatory. I have used the "Switches" in AstroArt to control my Pegasus Advanced Powerbox (PPBADV) with success. Now, I am going to add an additional switch box (a Lunatico "Dragonfly") to control the observatory itself (It is kind of a roll-off observ...

Re: Profiles

I am saving different setups (scopes, cameras, locations) under "options", "Observatory" and select the appropriate one when needed. THis is not encompassing all equipment, but camera and scope to start with.
Hope this helps

Re: Astroart 8 SP3

Hello Hidenori, If I calculated well, Your setup covers about 90arcminutes of the sky AND your CCD is rather large (40mm), so there could well be optical distortion effects, even in a good optical setup. So, it makes sense to me to use or compare with the optical distortions ON. A word of caution: W...

Re: Astroart 8 SP3

Hello Fabio, Thanks a lot for this new Service Pack. I tried directly the new plate solving and astrometry functions. Very helpful for large field deep sky photos. Here is a somewhat extreme example for Astrometry (M38 5x60secs on Celestron EHD Hyperstar V4 w. Lacerta DS2600C pro: 1. optical distort...

Re: Optical distortions for SP2 and SP3

I found it in pre-processing and alignment. Awesome! Seems to work on my Hyperstar images and improves stars.
Will test it on DSLR images with short focal lenses as well. That will put it to a stretch :-)

2 cameras using same driver

I am able to use 2 cameras from different manufacturers with different drivers for guiding and imaging without issues I may be doing something stupid, but how can i use 2 cameras from the same manufacturer that use the same driver? e.g. Main camera Lacerta DS2600 (Touptek) plus a Lacerta PlanetPro a...

Re: Optical distortions for SP2 and SP3

Hello Fabio,
Very interesting option for large-area shots with short-focus lenses. I couldn't find the option in SP2. Where is it? Somewhere in Preprocessing?

I am also interested to test it out for SP3.
Good stuff!

Re: saving files

Hello Stefano,
Did you enter your license information when installing AstroArt? If you run in demo mode, you can do almost everything in the program, except saving files.
Just a thought
