apparently this was the last try I had not yet done. Actually with the piccdgui version 5.43 the script execution is running as usual.

Yes, the same script works on my other (older) PCs under Windows 7 32/64 bit very well. I tested all the Service packs SP1 through SP5, latest Camera plugins and several piccdgui.dll's with no other result. So far I can not see any explanation for this different appearance.
