Re: Recent images with AA - constructive critiques for improvement always welcomed
thanks again...I had big problems getting the stars from green to blue in M39. I think they were possibly a little overexposed. I did not want to settle for green stars in the foreground, so I think I had to accept more blue everywhere...unless there is a lesson to learn about controlling color to t...

Re: Recent images with AA - constructive critiques for improvement always welcomed
Great images, it's only puzzling that the colors seems different:
Caldwell 30 galaxies: excellent "Hubble-like" colors.
North america: blue channel a little too faint (?)
M39: blue channel a little too strong (?)

M11 - Wild Duck Cluster
..after working some time now with a focus on achieving star color, I am just about satisfied that I can do that without destroying too much of its integrity. Still have a lot to learn about a lot of things, like maybe remembering to shoot stars at f10 instead of f7 like I did for this one of M11. I...

Re: C11 - Bubble Nebula - Take 1
This one has a better blue channel. Very nice image by the way. To balance the R/G/B channels the best tools is usually the Color Curves, remember that: 1) The window can be enlarged to work with more precision. 2) If one histogram is smaller than the other, then it can be zoomed (left click and dra...

Re: C11 - Bubble Nebula - Take 1
Self reply: This seems to be about the best I could do. Maybe I needed exposures to be more lengthy in RGB especially. 320 s might need to be doubled I would presume to obtain good data for color manipulation. Did a lot more tries on it and one last cropped effort to help with the vignetting. Any ti...

C11 - Bubble Nebula - Take 1
Hello AA users ..submitted for critique and TIPs requested..will work another effort and respond with that progress. Still trying to get the most out of color (as usual). This is about 15 hours of data across LRGBHa. Still having problems making the most of the trichomy phase of AA. I fear I am not ...

Re: Lagoon Neb and Sagittarious Star Cloud
Thank you so much..I am about an intermediate level dabbler..I have pretty good gear. The CGEM mount and the Atik One 9.0 configure well together along with my 80mm and 200mm FL scopes. I am very much learning the ropes still. I have a small Sky Shed dome and pier mounted setup which greatly increas...

Re: Lagoon Neb and Sagittarious Star Cloud
Really Good images something to aspire to - would be good to know your astroart/other tools/setup workflow to achieve this - just find examples better than dry reading of manuals - although I am doing that (slowly).
