Re: Multiple simultaneous instances

That makes sense.
I have a refurbished HP that stands up to the elements quite well, but I've been starting to look for an inexpensive second computer.
I'm moving in a month and still have not determined where the scopes will go.
I appreciate the suggestion.

Re: Comet C2022E3

Great use of sigma sum! I never though of using it like that!
I have 90 30 sec images I was going to make into a video, but will definitely play with the sigma sum trick.

Re: Multiple simultaneous instances

I have a much more minimal computer which I use just to control the scopes. Running a 8GB ram i5. Maybe that's my problem? I also need to update my ASCOM drivers. Maybe that will help? I keep this HP outside most of the time and operate it remotely through VNC. I wonder if the VNC could also be caus...

Multiple simultaneous instances

Hi Fabio, I'm trying to run two instances of AstroArt 8 running different setups. I thought this was possible, but I keep getting an exception error (actually it repeats probably 100 times) and then one instance closes. Could be my computer, but wanted to check if I should be doing something else to...

Re: Astroart 8 SP1

Thanks for the new features. I'm eager to try the Telescope.autocenter script. Am I correct that the ra de are read from the telescope goto? And the parameters for plate solving are as in "Options" and "Tools/Plate solve"? That reminds me, when I switch between two scopes I need to load the correct ...

Re: link to tutorials

Hi Ernie, There are so many functions of AstroArt and many helpful users on this forum, but I agree a comprehensive set of tutorials and step-by-step instructions would be a great benefit. The interface is clear and intuitive, and it was very easy to get started, but I am still only scratching the s...

Re: Startup parameters

Hi Fabio,
This may be the same solution, but I use either of two configurations, FASTAR or standard with different cameras, etc. Can I use the same method to make different startup files for each so I don't have to change the parameter settings for photometry and astrometry?
Thanks,
Newell
