Converting to floating point solves the problem.

I am trying to use adaptive gradient removal on image PIC1.
In preview it looks great (PIC2), but when I click OK the image gets wierd (PIC3).

Re: Dither problem.
Yes, I am using a Celestron 11, but It can't be mirror shift.
I am dithering every 3-rd image , and every 3rd image shows this "double" star.
It looks like dithering is going on while taking images.

Dither problem.
I guide with AstroArt, but have a problem with dither.
Every image that was dithered is capturing while moving the mount.
Here is an example. Maximum shift on x and y is 2 pixels.

Re: Problem with sequence
Yes, this was just an indoor test for demonstration. But I have noticed this while capturing at night on a real target. While taking L,R,G,B frames I noticed that the first image of every color was more like the last of the previous color. Anyway, no problem, will use a dummy image. It is probably a...

Re: Problem with sequence
It is all ASCOM.
It has to be a residual charge, because the filter wheel is fast enough.
Have inserted a dummy image of 1 second between LIGHT and DARK and everything is OK.
Is there some other way to "discharge" the sensor ?

Problem with sequence
I am using Zwo mini filter wheel and QHY174MM cooled camera on AstroArt 7 SP4.
When running sequence, there is a problem with the first image of the next sequence.
As you can see in the image, the first dark image was taken while the filter wheel was still turning.

Focusing problem with SP3
Hello.
I've noticed (probably) a bug in SP3.
Using the Pegaus Astro focuser with ASCOM and can't focus anymore.
Focuser just goes the opposite way as it should, even setting reverse.
With SP2 everything works OK.

Lucky Imaging problem
I have pre-processed a few hundred images with an exposure of 5 seconds. But when I stack them, the final image is very grained (left image). Doing the same with Deep Sky Stacker produces a much better result (right image). I use default settings in both programs. I wonder if there are any settings ...

Re: RGB horizontal stripes
Have repeated once again.
Luminance without dither and Green with dither.
And the problem remains.
I'm confused..
After making a new set of green frames i see that the solution is to make a lot more coloured images than luminance.
2 hours of green images are looking better
