Re: Using "Multiscale high pass" on deep sky images
bumping this thread as it is very, very useful. If there is a way to create a mask and use the histogram stretch ONLY on the mask section that would enhance this ability even more. For example, I want to select a galaxy, invert the mask selection and change the rest of the image leaving the galaxy a...

Re: Plugin for Starnet++
starnet definately works, but I need to be able to take/make a starmask to put the stars back into the image after it has been processed. Haven't figured out how to do that in AA yet :-\

Re: autofocusing noobie q
Does the naming sequence follow what has been set up?
Apologies, I can't find any reference to "sequence" in the help files.
Also, is there a list of autofocusers that AA can communicate with, and does it have to be through ASCOM?
thanks again

autofocusing noobie q
hi everybody, Been happily using AA since v3, but due to various reasons I have never been able to use an autofocusing unit. This is about to change with a new 'scope in the post :=). Can anyone point me to a guide or reference on how to use it please, I can't see a clear link on the internet for a ...

Re: autoguiding query
I have re-seated my spotter & guidescope to sit centrally (as opposed to at the end of the scope) and diametrically opposite to the camera, in a bid to optimise my overall balance, due to my excellent (but heavy and long) Intes Micro MN86 sitting on my CEM60EC. This actually worked very well, and l...

Re: autoguiding query
Hi, about "reduced the pulsing", which option exactly ? By the way, I suggest to reset all autoguide settings (click the 3 buttons "Default values") and repeat the calibration (is it normal that RA is 2X faster than DEC?) hi Fabdev, I Mean by increasing the "pause after pulse" value. I will double ...

Re: canon 7D q
many thanks Dunmunro - sorted with that !
All my imaging up to now has been monochrome with filters, so this is new processing territory to me.

canon 7D q
hi all, We actually had a few clear hours last night, and I was able to do a first time test in/on my new obs with a canon 7d mk2. I have many, many hours of imaging with SX cameras but Canon is new to me, and M31 was nice and high. 2 q's arose that I could not understand, any help and advice would ...

Re: Lodestar x2 not connecting *fixed*
update, with the simulator as the primary and Lodestar as secondary ( but plugged directly into the PC), the Lodestar works correctly. ( the 814 is not even plugged in or connected). If I plug the Lodestar into the 814, and then the 814 into the PC as per a "normal" setup, but still have simulator a...
