Hi,
I am new to AstroArt, had my first successful stacking and image processing result of images which had be taken with MaxImDL a couple of days ago. I noticed that all of my FITS images had been opened by AA vertically flipped. I am missing a button in REFERENCES for these cases. Would it be possible to add two buttons there: "flip vertical" and "flip horizontal"? I know about the flip option in "Preprocessing", but it is much easier to have single images flipped while opening.
Best regards,
Bernd

Re: FITS image flip
Hi,
you could create two Macros 1 and 2 as "vertical flip" and "horizontal flip", so that you could launch them with the buttons "1" and "2".
Please note that the Astroart FITS orientation is correct, so your images are actually flipped, as you can verify opening them with any official FITS viewer. So be careful if you make a discover and need to send the images to a professional observatory for verification.

Re: FITS image flip
Hi Fabio,
yes, you are absolutely right, defining a macro is the better solution ....
Thank you very much!

Re: FITS image flip
Given that many software acquire images in a non-compliant manner, to improve the interreadability of the files, it would be effective for the WCS to be read when the file is opened, making sure that the image is opened correctly (for example correctly oriented North-East ).
