Hello, a new minor version of Astroart 8 is available (actually it's a pretty big update):
Version 8.0 SP4 - May 14, 2023
------------------------------
* New feature. Optical distortions with user defined polynomial order.
* New feature. Align RGB planes with optical distortions.
* New feature. Correct distortions.
* New feature. Dialog windows can be created easily with the SDK.
* New feature. Images can be renamed without saving.
* New feature. Script commands for sequences.
* New feature. Date and time can be saved in sequences.
* New feature. Exposure time for autofocus can be set in the sequencer.
* Improved. Up to 100 stars can be used for auto alignment.
* Improved. The full screen mode has an option to remember the last zoom.
* Improved. F11 shortcut for full screen mode.
* Improved. "Equalize visualization" can be canceled.
* Improved. The folder for user files can be changed.
* Improved. The star atlas window remembers its size.
* Improved. The error line is highlighted in scripts.
* Improved. Camera binning and subframe can be saved.
* Improved. Position of windows for instrumentation can be saved.
* Bug fix. "Follow minor planet" with WCS did not work with rotated images.
* Bug fix. "Delete calibration" was not saved in Processing History.
* Bug fix. Some text was not displayed correctly in WINE.

Astroart 8 SP4
Re: Astroart 8 SP4
further information from the updated documentation:
Optical distortions with user defined polynomial order
... use the option "Distortions between images" only if the images cannot be aligned well by normal rotations. This can happen with large fields when the images were taken on different nights or different meridian positions. Use the lowest "order" for the polynomial which is able to correct your images (2° = quadratic, 3° = cubic). Align RGB planes with optical distortions
This command aligns the R,G,B channels of a color image. It can be used to correct the chromatic aberration of stars.
It's equivalent to splitting the channels, aligning, and joining with trichromy.
Select the number of star for the automatic alignment (100 recommended, if they are present in the image), and if needed enable the correction of optical distortions.
Correct distortions
This command corrects an astrometrically calibrated image from optical distortions. It's used to pass the image to other software which does not support FITS SIP optical distortions.
Images can be renamed without saving
The quickest way to rename is right-clicking on the title of the Image window, or pressing CTRL+SHIFT+R. A command is available also in the "File" menu.
Date and time can be saved in sequences
... the extra fields can be added in the filename (using the % symbol) or separately in the other edit box: In the example above both methods will give the same result: (click the button "Filename preview") Position of windows for instrumentation can be saved
The options are inside the "Misc" page: New SDK for image processing filters
