Hello Fabio,
I just happened to read about a nice idea implemented in PHD2, namely the possibility to mark the slit position permanently or move it as needed.
This would be a nice feature for AA5 I think! Then perhaps it could also be possible to draw a - permanent/movable - rectangle for guiding?
This could all be done during daytime making life easier......

it's interesting, but at the moment it's complicated: as you wrote this also means to select the same rectangle and same binning mode, save and restore them between sessions, etc.
By the way, if you need to clone a rectangle on another image press CTRL R then click OK.
