flat frames problem

Post by maplearn » 17 Jan 2021, 09:24

Trying to take flats and they are split in the middle with different shades. Can someone help? No problem with the camera, takes proper flats with other software.

figured it out. the guide camera is confusing the software. I installed two separate ZWO camera for photos and guiding. The software senses them correctly but but the image is mixing the two. Actually I had the same problem with other software including ZWO's own software, ASI. Has anyone else had this problem and resolved it?

This happens even if you select the imaging camera as 1 and the guider as 2 ?

Only an updated ASI ASCOM driver could solve the problem. Maybe it's fixed yet, verify the latest version on the ASI web site. Some months ago there was a discussion about this also on the ASI forum.
Some hints by the way: don't use a USB hub, connect the two cameras in a given order, both physically and by software. Just a try.
