Is there a trick to get astroart v6 to communicate with the Celestron CGEM scope? I'm trying both on my old XP machine or a new Windows 10.
I have time and clear skies - appreciate your thoughts!

I suggest the ASCOM driver. If it still does not work, try first with a planetarium software, for example the free Cartes Du Ciel:

I'm assuming I have a problem with my USB port. Not sure why it would only be with the scope though. Nexremote, Cartes and Stellarium all fail to connect. I'll work on it this weekend and hopefully have a positive update.

It could be issues with the USB>Serial adaptor.
I found the Keyspan 19HS to work 100% for me.

Thanks Merlin,
I've got my XP working with the Celestron driver, can't get the ASCOM driver to work yet and nothing working on the Windows 10 machine. It could be the USB - serial adapter, the indicator light is lost after about 15 seconds.

That was it. Installed the new USB->Serial adapter and everything worked great.
Many thanks!
I hope I can repay the favor some day.
