I use a modified Nikon D5000 for photography and a qhy6 for guiding.
In Astroart there is no plugin for Nikon cameras.
I tried it now by using the "Canon"-plugin and trigger the Nikon-camera over a bulp-cable (parallel Interface).
The cable for the Nikon to the parallel Interface I made by myself. See link http://www.dslrfocus.com/help/eoscable.htm
After "connect" Astroart brings a message "Canon remote capture not found", but it connects to the cable.
Then I can trigger my Nikon for the astroshots from Astroart.
The only problem is, that astroart opens a lot of empty images at the display and I have to delete them after all.
I hope that there will be a Nikon-plugin in Astroart at any time.
Greetings George

Hello, we could easily modify the Canon driver to solve the problem, and maybe it could be possible to open the Nikon images into AA. Please write us by email.

Fabio, I too have a Nikon D5000. How can I use it with AA5?

No, eventually that became a driver for generic DSLRs, commanded by a serial/parallel/usb/dsusb cable, in bulb mode.

It's very simple, the shutter is commanded by Astroart, that's all. On some cameras it's possible to open the result image into Astroart, if the virtual folder of the camera is visible as a folder or if the camera automatically saves the images into a given folder of the hard disk. If not, images remain only in the camera sd memory, this was the case of the Nikon D5000.

That is disappointing but I have other ways of using my D5000.
