Nikon Download Failed Error

I'm having an issue when i try to connect to my Nikon D5500. I have installed Astro-art 6 and the Nikon drivers. When I open the camera interface and connect to the camera the connection is successful, but when i try to grab a test frame, the dialog box says "Download Failed" "Cannot start exposure". If i don't do the test, the program just freezes. I don't even hear the shutter open. I have my camera connected via usb and the camera is on manual with focus on manual. Any help the group has would be great.

Hello, since you wrote me by email I suggested a first test there (with "Bulb").

First thank you Fabio for your help. We finally figured out the issue as being a bracketing issue. If you accidentally leave bracketing on (say from using the camera during the day) the multiple images cause a "download failed" error. Fabio found a post for me on source forge that explains the issue better. This issue may affect other Nikon models too.
