Hi Guys,
I am probably doing something wrong BUT:
I have just got a new laptop - wrong!!!!!
It runs Win 8.1 - wrong
I have installed the ASCOM platform
I have loaded AA4 and the AA4 ASCOM Generic Plug In
I have also loaded a QHY8 ASCOM driver plus some other QHY8 driver.

I can assess the ASCOM chooser from AA4 but it does not find the camera

I can run the QHY EZCAP software and that does appear to control the QHY8 correctly but obviously does not lend itself to image capture at the telescope.

Is there anyone out there that can advise me what I have done wrong or omitted to do?

Is there anyone out there running AA4 under Win 8.1 with a QHY8 attached?

In my (limited) experience, these things are normally due to the installation.
Did you install as "Administrator"?

Yes I did as far as I am aware but I am new to Windows 8.1,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
How would I be able to find out?
