Hello.
I am new to Astro Art.
I have a newbie question:
I have 3 files, taken with my Canon EOS 550D camera:
IMG.cr2
DARK.cr2
FLAT.cr2
Is there a description somewhere how to calculate the magnitude of "the star" in all 4 layers, when "the comparison star" is known?
It is my impression that AstroArt can solve much more complicated tasks, but this is my first attempt.
Yours,
Søren

Re: Photometry
Hello, for a precise result the procedure is not simple (search for "DSLR photometry", then follow a generic tutorial).
For an approximated result, once you have the corrected image (corrected for darks and flats, then debayered). Just use the command Color/Split RGB to access the R,G,B layers.
Fabio.

Søren, try asking at the danish astronomy forum here: https://www.astronet.dk
On the good old no longer active Astro-Forum there are several threads about the topic. But I will recommend you join astronet.dk where there are several active AstroArt users ready to give advise.
