Preprocess and Comet Tracking

Im looking for advice on tracking. I go through what i think is the procedure, but the object motion and stars are trailed. This what i do ( in AA8 demo, and AA5 ):

Open files (average), Align>Auto>Star pattern, Follow minor planet checked, sky motion= 2,2"/px, in PA 86 (manual entry from the MP Ephemeris Service), OK.

What im not sure, is how AA knows the orientation of the image and if im missing a step here.

You should see the stars trailed, but not the minor planet.

The orientation of the image must be set in the Observer page (Pixel scale / Angle) of the Options.
It can be found with a plate solve, then Statistics.
