Stacking gives alignment errors

Post by JackG » 10 Feb 2022, 14:19

Folks,

When I stack images I get alignment errors. I found this forum topic: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=455&p=1798&hilit=au ... ment#p1798

In it Fabio says: "Procedure:

1) Before launching the preoprocessing, open the first image, select a star (ideal is a medium bright star, isolated, eg. with no brighter stars near it).
2) Close the image, click Preprocessing, select Align, "One star" and the coordinates of that star will be shown."

But (I'm using AA8) I don't see a "One star" option in the alignment menu. Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Jack

Once you load the images you want to stack go to options. Next select either Auto align or Manual align. Auto align will allow you to select multiple options, manual align will open an image that you select the star to align on. Hope this helps.
