Extracting Ha OIii

Post by Morten Lerager » 05 Apr 2022, 16:17

Hi

Is it possible to extract Ha and OIII from a OSC image. Astro Pixel Processer and Siril has a dedicated function to do that. It seems it has to been done before debayering.
Pixinsight don't have a special funktion to solve it.
But it may be done with its pixelmath.
How can this be done in Astroart 8

There’s no frequency information in images. The only thing you can do is to look at the red channel.

Thanks Rudi
Yes R will be close to Ha.
But OIII is a mix of G & B
It will not work to add G+B.
I gees that's the reason it has to be done before Debayering so only part of GB are taken into account. I know its not the same as with monochrome camera. But the results look good :)
