I have tested the two windows V2 versions, none of them works for Astroart.
Looking forward to a version of Starnet++ V2 for Astroart

Hi, it seems to me that the generic version 2 is not yet available (the version with a command line executable which can be launched from the command prompt).
Actually if you press the big "Download" button in the web page, the version 1.1 is downloaded by default.

You guys made me curious. So, I checked it out yesterday and it seems that they have made public not only the version V2.0 with the GUI and for PixInsight, but also a version with command line input just yesterday. Check out the github link (See below)!
As a complete newbie to Starnet++, i can't tell what it takes to make the connection from AA8 to the V2, but the V1.1 works for me. very impressive tool!
I may even try to get it running on the GPU (as described in the Cloudy Night article), to speed it up with my large files.
Take care
Bernd

Thanks Bernd for the update.
I just tested it, and it works fine.
I downloaded StarNetv2CLI_Win. I had to rename starnet++.exe to mono_starnet++.exe, so I guess that Astroart will need a little tweaking for it to work out of the box, or we have to make a new zip with the exe renamed
V2 is a lot faster and produces a much cleaner result.

Thanks Morten,
Yes it works for me as well by just renaming the starnet++.exe into BOTH mono_starnet++.exe and a separate one into rgb_starnet++.exe.
And, as you showed, much better results, especially on overexposed stars. Next will be to make use of the GPU and see how much faster that can be.
Good luck and would like to see your results here.
Sincerely
Bernd
