Camera Control Setup tab - Scripts

In the Camera Control SETUP tab, can someone please explain what is the purpose of the Scripts choice?
It appears that while an existing script can be selected from the Library, there can only be one recorded?
When does such a script run?
It appears that to remove that script one must select New?
Regards,
Patrick.

See:
Help (? icon)-> scripts for a tutorial.
Scripts are saved as separate files and then loaded as needed; here's a script that I co-wrote with a friend:
viewtopic.php?f=5&t=725 (last post).
To test a script run the simulators for the required hardware.

click scripts, library, configure, name the script, insert the path to the saved script.
You can then execute the script by clicking on the name of the script you want to run.

Dunmunro and Ivor,
Thanks for replying.
I have created scripts so understand that part of it.
I obviously did not pose the question clearly.
As scripts can be run from the main menu Macro page, I was curious as to why the Script option was available on the Camera Control Setup page. It appeared to me to be very similar and simply User's choice?
Regards,
Patrick.

I would assume that scripts in the macro tab would be processing scripts and camera control scripts would be scripts used during image acquisition.

Sound reasonable. Thanks
