Evaluating Demo Version

Post by Chrisan » 08 Jan 2025, 19:12

Hello everyone,

I'm taking a look at this software. Is there any way to evaluate a full featured version? The stuff enabled in the demo really isn't of interest to me, at least at this moment. I'd like to take a look at the sky charts and try controlling a mount with it, maybe try the plate solving engine, nudge the mount around, etc.

Thanks! Chris

Hello!
A different demo version, time-limited, where the star atlas is present is a good idea.
However the star atlas cannot do much with the telescope. All the advanced functions are done outside the star atlas (plate solving, auto-centering, sequence of objects), so this will not solve the problem of testing these features.
The star atlas is intended for astrometry, photometry and planning, the only command for telescope control is just clicking on a object for a manual GOTO.
Fabio.
