Hello,
I would like to know if the checkbox "Iterative background calculation" enables the calculation of the sky background in the presence of stars that eventually contaminate the ring sky background.
If I'm wrong, you can tell me the meaning of this option?
Thank you.

Re: Photometry - Iterative background calculation
Yes, it works that way. It removes all stars inside the corona used for background evaluation.
I suggest to make some test with and without that option, comparing the bkg values. In most cases the result will be the same, because both algorithms discard spurious values, so 1-2 stars in the corona will not cause problems.
That option is mandatory for extremely crowded star fields.
