lodestar x2

Post by toharra » 09 Oct 2019, 00:16

I am using my newly purchased lodestar x2 with maxim dl version 4.2. I am able to focus easily but when I try to set up guiding, the error message "unable to detect guide star" keeps appearing. I have tried to use a very bright star i.e. Caph and still the same results. Any ideas.

Best regards,
Tom O'Harra

Have you tried using it with Astroart?

There's a fully functional free demo available here:

I don't use Maxim, so I can't really comment on that.

I ‘ve been using AstroArt for many years.
I use an Lodestar for guiding my Spectrograph and an ATiK 314 for Spectral Imaging.
No issues, no dramas just does what you want it to do.
